Living for the One who died for me.

Fashion and the Christian

•Why do people go after the latest in fashion?

•Can you rate someone’s character by looking at his external appearance?

• Is it desirable for a Christian to follow the fashion trends of the world?

• How can we honour God with our body?

Fashion is about our appearance in society. To a great extent it is exhibitionism. People are so conscious about what others think about them. The modern society looks at those in unrevealing attire as outdated and uncool.

Today’s generation rates one’s social status by his dress and his possessions. Their lifestyle is their fashion statement. Designer wear, which was the choice of the rich some years ago, has become common among the middle class today. People are rated fashionable or not by the brand of their apparels and accessories. Seemingly, women with lesser clothing are considered to be more fashionable these days. Your fashion is rated by the number of holes on your jeans and where all those are positioned. It’s all a “show” business. The more you reveal the more fashionable you are in ‘high society’.

Clothing is for our comfort and convenience. It also has some bearing on the geographical, cultural and climatic conditions. Fashion in itself is not wrong if it is modest and within the limits of decency. But fashion pageants are off the limits since women are not meant to be objects of display.

Partying is an essential element in the modern lifestyle. Party is no party without drinking a bit and shaking a leg. However, there’s lot of vulgarity in the name of fashion today. Now people walk around in what used to be inner wear till a few years ago. They have colourful tattoos to exhibit. Those who are less beautiful get tattooed all over and dress scantly to display the art. Many Christians too follow the world in these matters. Unfortunately, some Christian parents, instead of correcting their children, take pride in them when they adopt this lifestyle. They bring their fashion to the church too and distract others seated around them. But when is it excess and where shall we draw the line? What is the Biblical view on these?

Christians are advised not to follow the world because they are a special people set apart by God for His purposes. A Christian should not follow the crowd but obey the Word of God.

“Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Rom. 12:2 NLT)

“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Pet. 2:9 NLT)

A Christian’s body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit and it is his/her awesome responsibility to keep it holy.

“Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God
and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” (1Cor.3:16, 17 NLT)

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honour God with your body.” (1Cor.6:19, 20 NLT)

Jesus redeemed us with his precious blood and purchased us to be his own. This means we are not our own anymore. He saved us with the specific purpose of displaying the goodness of our God to the world around. We are called to be the light in darkness. We must live to glorify our God. Both Apostles Paul and Peter instructed Christians to be modest in their lifestyle.

“And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do.” (1Timothy 2:9-10 NLT)

“Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewellery, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” (1Pet. 3:3-4 NLT)

Modesty is what should guide a Christian in these matters. It is better to avoid explicit displays that grab attention. If you are a Christian who is modest in your appearance and social behaviour, you are honouring God. Obedience without arguments pleases our God.

Knowing what is Right and not doing it

• Have you ever closed your eyes towards your own mistake?

• Have you deliberately stayed away from doing what is right?

• Will you knowingly do things that would destroy your health?

People who are trying to be morally upright abstain from certain acts, like smoking, drinking and gambling. But, that is only one side of the coin. We are accountable for both the wrongs we do and the rights we don’t do. We may keep away from doing wrong for fear of punishment. But do we do the right thing even if it may cost us dearly?

We may take things for granted thinking nobody is going to be hurt by our inaction. We are accountable when knowing the truth we try to suppress it. We know people in our community or neighbourhood who are in need but do nothing though we are able to help. If we overlook the mistake of someone close to us instead of correcting that person, we are wrong. We know copying another student’s answer in the examination is wrong. Just the absence of an invigilator will not make it any less an offense. Cigarette packets display the message ‘smoking is injurious to health’, yet people spend money and smoke. We know we must work hard but we often look out for short cuts. We know we should not litter our neighbourhood and our public places, yet we throw garbage wherever we find it convenient. We gossip about others when they are not around even though we know it is wrong. Flirting and fooling around with the opposite sex is not the right thing to do but so many young people have misunderstood it to be trendy. We are to do what is right, all the time, whether we are being watched or not.

The general tendency is to think that if you are not caught then you may be right. Much of the corruption in our society is due to this attitude. When caught, people argue their case with blatant lies and all kinds of justifications. In the eyes of the law you may win but In God’s sight you are a loser and an offender.

A Christian should take care to do what is right irrespective of circumstances. “Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.” (James 4:17 NLT)

He is alive!

History has lists of great men and women- conquerors, rulers, inventors, philosophers, leaders, teachers and so on. All of them lived and died. Their final resting places are visited by tourists and pilgrims. But there is only one person, in the entire human history, who lived, died and came back to life. Even today His tomb is lying open as a proof of His resurrection.

The empty tomb is the sign of victory over death, death that is the outcome of God’s justice. God is holy, righteous and just and His justice demands the death of a sinner (Rom.6:23).

God created mankind in His own image with the freedom of choice or free will. He told them the consequences of both aligning with His will as well as going against it, and expected them to honour Him with their choices. Missing this mark was called sin. Mankind failed miserably and inherited suffering and death as its consequences. However, knowing human helplessness God in His infinite love and mercy made a plan to overcome death. So before expelling Adam and Eve from the garden God made a covering for their guilt and shame which was the foreshadow of a later event that would remove sin’s guilt and shame. There began a long drawn enmity between Satan and mankind. Then a promise was made that the son of the woman would crush the head of the serpent. This was again the promise of the ultimate victory of Jesus over sin, death and Satan.

All through history people made wrong choices and aligned themselves with Satan. The Bible makes it clear that all have misused their free will and missed the mark. So the consequences were terrible and ultimately it would lead us to eternal destruction. We are dead in sin and liable to face the justice of the holy God. But God knew that we would never be able to face it. That’s why He promised to crush Satan’s head by sending the Son of the woman.

It happened thousands of years later when God incarnated as the Son of a woman. He lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice fulfilling the justice of God. Now we don’t have to try fulfilling the justice of God, but instead in God’s mercy He is accepting the sacrifice of Jesus as our death. When we personally accept this and surrender to His Lordship, God is giving us the garment of righteousness removing the guilt of sin and shame. Satan tried to crush Jesus’s heel on the cross but Jesus crushed Satan’s head by His resurrection. When He declared from the cross “it is finished”, justice was done and the sins of mankind were atoned for. When He rose from the grave victory was established. Now all those who put their trust in this victory can pass from death to Eternal Life!

So if you want to celebrate victory over sin and death and move on to Eternal Life, come unto Jesus! He is Alive and Able to Save!

The Passover

Friday,19 April 2022 is the starting of Pesach or Passover for the Jewish people, a week of commemoration of the deliverance from slavery in Egypt. It is Good Friday for Christians in our part of the world. The passion week of Jesus happened to be coinciding with the jewish festival this time. The Passover, continued with the feast of unleavened bread, begins at sunset on Friday. However, the actual events in history, one was the foreshadow of the other.

Through the Passover, God brought about the great deliverance in the life of the people of Israel, who were slaves in Egypt for generations. The history of the Israelites in Egypt begins with Joseph being sold as a slave and brought into that country.

“So when the Ishmaelites, who were Midianite traders, came by, Joseph’s brothers pulled him out of the cistern and sold him to them for twenty pieces of silver. And the traders took him to Egypt…. Meanwhile, the Midianite traders arrived in Egypt, where they sold Joseph to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Potiphar was captain of the palace guard” (Gen. 37:28‭, ‬36 NLT).

The Bible says that God was with Joseph and blessed him in his work that he eventually becomes the Prime minister, next only to the Pharaoh.

Later his father, brothers and families move into that country and live under the favour of the Pharaoh. They prosper there and multiply into great numbers. Jacob dies in Egypt.

“Eventually, a new king came to power in Egypt who knew nothing about Joseph or what he had done. He said to his people, “Look, the people of Israel now outnumber us and are stronger than we are. We must make a plan to keep them from growing even more. If we don’t, and if war breaks out, they will join our enemies and fight against us. Then they will escape from the country.” So the Egyptians made the Israelites their slaves. They appointed brutal slave drivers over them, hoping to wear them down with crushing labor. They forced them to build the cities of Pithom and Rameses as supply centers for the king” (Exo.1:8‭-‬11 NLT)

Thus, as Israel’s descendants were enslaved and illtreated they cried to the Lord for deliverance. God brings up Moses in spite of and in the midst of unfavourable circumstances. As a baby he was preserved in the palace against the decree of the King that every male Israelite baby below two years should be slaughtered.

God prepared Moses for 80 long years before he could embark on the mission. Still he felt incompetent but God had to keep reassuring him of who is in control.

Thus through the test of ten plagues Pharaoh yielded to the supremacy of the Lord God, the tenth being the death of the first born. Before the angel of death carried out this final test the people of Israel were instructed to sacrifice a lamb and smear it’s blood on the doorposts and lintels of their houses. When the angel went about, he would pass over these houses with the blood sign on the doorposts. Thus the event was called the Passover. Along with the preparation they were to eat unleavened bread because they were to leave in a hurry and hence no time for the dough to rise. This became a memorial event called Pesach, celebrated annually.

However, except as the foreshadow or typology of the death of Jesus the sinless lamb of God, Pesach and the feast of unleavened bread has no direct significance to the Christian. Jesus was celebrating Pesach with His disciples at His last supper. Then on Friday His precious blood became the mark of deliverance and redemption for all those who believe and take refuge in Him. For them, the death penalty of sin has passed over, for ever. Hallelujah!

Have you experienced this Passover?! Is the blood of the Lamb of God the mark of your deliverance and redemption?!

Another Easter!

Another Good Friday! Another Easter! The celebration continues year after year. An opportunity for the Christian community to celebrate just like other religious communities have. Does it have any significance beyond that?

Have you ever wondered what motivated God to sacrifice his own Son, his only begotten Son?

Jesus’ crucifixion reveals God’s hatred towards sin.

I can not fulfill the righteous laws of the Most Holy God. God’s Word calls this condition sin. The Bible says, “There is no difference; all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
(Romans 3:23). The penalty for this is death. “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

I cannot earn forgiveness of my sins by paying money, or by doing good deeds, or by the help of saints, or by climbing mountains, or by keeping vows, or by any other means. The Bible says, “There is no salvation except by shedding blood” (Heb. 9:22).

“The soul that sinneth, it shall die; the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father; neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: for the righteousness of the just shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him” (Ezekiel 18:20).

God the Father was silent when His only begotten son was sweating blood and pleading from the Garden of Gethsemane, “remove this cup from me if you will”. The Father turned a deaf ear to the cry of His beloved son who was hanging on three nails on the cross, bleeding from head to toe, groaning in agony, asking “my God my God why have you forsaken me”. God the Father allowed His dear Son to be tormented up on that cross and that shows how much He hated sin.

Jesus’ crucifixion reveals God’s love for me.

Jesus is God who became a human for us humans. He is the Creator who took the form of His own creation. Because He is infinite, He voluntarily relinquished His glory in order to be a finite man. Since He is eternal without beginning or end, He confined himself to time, human history, and a geographical territory. He, while being sinless, allowed Himself to be tortured and killed for our sins. Jesus did not come into the world to be hailed as a saint, or a spiritual leader, or a teacher, or the founder of a religion, a prophet or a martyr, but to carry the burden of sin of the whole world on His own shoulders and endure the wrath of God, so that we might be forgiven of our sins. Lonely and despised, ignored by the Father, abandoned by all, hanging on that cross, He shed even the last drop of His blood as the sacrifice of sin for you and me.

He did all this out of His love for us. The Word of God says, “Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?”
(Romans 8:32 NLT)

“God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“But God demonstrates His love for us in this, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5: 8)

Jesus’ crucifixion reveals my only hope

Because Jesus took away my sins and became the ransom sacrifice for me, I can trust in Him for my forgiveness. No one else in human history has paid the penalty for all the sins of mankind with his own blood. The Bible says, “There is salvation in no one else; there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

In him we have redemption and forgiveness of sins. Jesus calls all who are struggling with sin to come to Him. He is knocking at the door of your heart, hoping you will invite him inside. He will change your life. That is why he came and that is why he died and rose again. Will you invite him in as your Savior and Master?

He promises to be with you forever and never to leave you. (Heb. 13: 5)

The Reunion – for Believers only!

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words.
(1Thessalonians 4:13‭-‬18 NLT)

Death is painful. The absence of a loved one from the routines of daily life is very hurting. Certain objects and spaces in the house will bring vivid memories and tears. They say time will heal. But until then it is agonizing.

The Resurrection

Yet, there is hope for a child of God. Death is the end for an unbeliever, but it’s the beginning of real life for a true believer in Christ. The scriptures say that the dead in Christ will rise from their graves when Christ comes down from heaven in mid air to snatch away His bride the Church. This is a mystery event that is not marked on the church calendar. In fact most churches don’t even talk about it, let alone preach or teach about it. One of the important facts to note about this mystery event is that it is a  “Bride snatching” ceremony, similar to one that happens in a Jewish wedding. The bride of Christ will disappear into the bridal chamber which was prepared for her by her groom. Remember what Jesus said in John 14:2-3?

“There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together.”
(Jn 14:2‭-‬3 CEV)

The Rapture

This mystery is called the Rapture. The Church the bride of Christ will be raptured from this world. The dead believers rising first and the living ones being transformed and snatched away into the place prepared for them by the Lord. The bride will be with her groom in that chamber for seven days after which they will appear before people for the banquet. Exactly like this, the Church will be with Christ for seven years while the world will go through the great tribulation under the Antichrist. After the seven years we will come down to the earth with Christ for the great banquet in the millennial Kingdom.

The Return

When Christ returns to the earth with his Church He will reign as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Satan will be bound for a thousand years and under the reign of Christ the whole creation will experience the joy and freedom it had been longing for (Rom.8:18-25)

So, if you are a born again believer grieving at the loss of a loved one who had made a commitment to trust Jesus as Lord and Saviour, I would like to remind you from God’s Word that you will be reunited with that person very soon. There is going to be a grand reunion in the mid air where we will meet our Saviour along with our loved ones. God’s Word reminds us to encourage one another with these words of hope. (1Thess.4:13-18)

PEACE

People the world over are yearning for peace in the midst of their burning issues. Sickness, isolation, loss of income, frustration, death of dear and near ones, and so on are more personal unlike natural calamities, epidemics, political unrest, wars and the like. More and more people turn to religion and spirituality to find solace, comfort and peace.

Blessing of Peace

Irrespective of situations the Bible directs people to peace, comfort and confidence. It maintains that God is the source of peace. God of the Bible is one who relates to people. He made covenants with them and promised to live in fellowship with them. He expressed this through selected individuals in the form of blessings like the following:

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’
(Numbers 6:24‭-‬26 NLT)

Promise of Peace

Peace was promised as a blessing to all those who relied upon God and remained under His protection. Kings and leaders who knew this reality wrote and sang about it, like these lines of the psalmist…

The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.
(Psalms 29:11 NLT)

Prince of Peace

Among the promises God made to His people, one that was central to every blessing was the promise of a Saviour who would bring deliverance, freedom and ever lasting peace to all. This was prophesied around the eighth century BC and was fulfilled in the birth of Jesus Christ.

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. (Isaiah 9:6‭ NLT)

The birth of the Saviour again announced the blessing of peace as written in the Gospel of Luke.

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
(Luke 2:13‭-‬14 NLT)

Towards the end of His life on this earth Jesus encouraged His followers saying:

I give you peace, the kind of peace only I can give. It isn’t like the peace this world can give. So don’t be worried or afraid.
(John 14:27 CEV)

Messengers of Peace

When Jesus left this world after His resurrection, He commissioned His followers to continue His mission and promised to send a comforter, the Holy Spirit, to be with them. When the Holy Spirit comes they will be empowered to carry His message of peace to the nooks and corners of the globe. (Acts 1:8)

Jesus also reminded them that they would face hardships, opposition and persecution while going about His mission. They experienced it during their lifetime and admonished the body of believers to pray with thankful hearts and assured them of the blessing of peace.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 NLT)

Know the “Prince of Peace” and know peace.

Religious Rituals

Rituals are an integral part of religion. Every religion has its own lists of them. Among Christian communities the lists vary depending on the denomination they belong to.

Lenten season is special for Christians, whether religious or not. Going without favourite food and entertainment, fasts, penitential prayers, doing good deeds, and so on will be on the daily routine. Some go even to the extent of punishing themselves. All of these are done with the motive of cleansing themselves from their sins and wrong doings of the past.

It is repeated religiously, year after year, with the hope that it will bring them the desired effect.

It is interesting to note that though the denominations demand certain rituals as mandatory, the Word of God does not put forward any. The New Testament instructs the believers to observe two things, baptism (Mt.28:18) and communion (1Cor.11:23-26). These are two ordinances given to Jesus’s followers with specific meaning and purpose. Baptism is a testimony and affirmation to the newness of life that has been experienced by the believer, while communion is a proclamation of the sacrificial death of the Saviour which brought us forgiveness and redemption. There is no specific instruction on how to practice these ordinances, though.

Christian denominations keep their folk bound by their rituals and practices where as Biblical Christianity is one that is free from these rotes and rites. Religion is based on rituals but Christianity is based on relationship. One trying to appease the divine to escape his/her anger while the other is humbly accepting the offer of love and forgiveness. Obviously man cannot satisfy the just demand of a righteous God and live because His justice demands the death of a sinner. You may go without food throughout the Lenten season, you may give up your addictions during this period, you may do a lot of good deeds, you may pray many times a day, you may carry a cross and walk around in public, or drink bitter juice, allow yourself to be beaten and even crucified, but none of these can pay the penalty for your sins. If you die while doing these you will still be lost eternally. The Bible says,

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (Romans 3:23 NLT)

The Bible also says,

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 NLT)

It is not by our faithful religious observances that we receive forgiveness, but it is just because of God’s love and mercy offered to us freely through the sacrifice of His only Son. In other words, we cannot purchase forgiveness with our own efforts. We can only accept it with humility and gratitude from a loving God who paid it on our behalf. Jesus paid it fully on the cross when He suffered and died. You and I need to just believe it and accept it in our hearts and turn from our sinful ways to love and obey our Saviour.

Have you experienced the forgiveness of your sins? Or are you still trying to get it through  rituals and observances? You can trust Jesus to save you even right now. Accept Him as your only Saviour and Lord  and experience it now!

“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12 NLT)

“There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts. 4:12 NLT)

“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:8 NLT)

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 NLT)

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” (Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9 NLT)

“And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:11‭-‬13 NLT)

Enemies of God

What is going on in Ukraine tells me that every country in the world is headed by heartless, selfish, inhuman politicians. On the one side everyone is applauding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for his courage. But on the other side, the nations of the world big and small alike are in support of Ukraine only in their speech. EU, NATO, UN all talking and watching the onslaught up on a weaker victim. Ukrainians are left all alone in their battle for survival.

I wonder why all these great leaders didn’t move a little finger to find a solution before the collision. They could have pressurized or persuaded Putin to negotiate with Zelenskyy and avoid a humanitarian crisis. The fact is that Putin is in a position of great advantage. NATO cannot send an army, the EU cannot involve directly, Putin can veto any UN resolution. Everyone played safe and selfish and let millions of Ukrainians suffer.

In all these world events that we are watching there is a grand design. The corona virus made the whole world come closer and experience the same things at more or less the same period. This one-sided war where Ukraine is left all alone to fight for itself is the pattern that will be observed during the future war with Israel.

Russia will accumulate forces in Syria and eventually come down upon Israel to plunder it’s natural gas reserves. Iran, Turkey and other jihadis will join in for their ultimate goal of annihilating Israel. Some nations may speak in support of Israel but do nothing more. Israel will be surrounded by its enemies and left alone to fight. Obviously Israel will not stand a chance against such an opposition in spite of all its technological and military advancements. That is when the God of Israel will intervene. He will destroy Israel’s enemies with supernatural events because Israel’s enemies are His enemies. Through the prophet Ezekiel God’s Word declares this. (Eze.38, 39)

Birth Pains

In chapter 24 of the Gospel of Matthew Jesus described the signs of the last days. This is in relation to the Jewish nation and the Church doesn’t figure anywhere in this, which means, the Church is taken up by then.

And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.
(Matthew 24:6‭-‬8 NLT)

Looking at some of these signs like, wars, rumours of wars, nations fighting against nations, we wonder whether we are already there or not. The scenario around Ukraine gives that kind of a feeling. Moreover, there are fights and clashes between ethnic groups and communities all around the world. There are attempts for ethnic cleansing. Europe is in shambles and the Middle East is at the point of a nuclear collision. But what Jesus says here is about the great tribulation period. This is also called Jacob’s trouble. It is focussed on the Jewish nation but the rest of the world also will pass through it.

One World, One Religion

The Chinese Corona has made the world look like one village. The “plannedemic” has levelled the differences and made every nation follow the same protocol. World has become equal and problems become global. Hatred and violence in the name of ethnicity and religion are growing into full blown wars. People started rejecting religions and promoting ecumenism – the one World religion. Soon there will be One World government and one religion but eventually demand worship and submission from every human being. Anyone who refuses will be beheaded.

One World, One Leader

The world is already moving towards this one leader government. Nations are fast disintegrating. Country after country is in chaos and confusion. Soon the nations will see one man emerge as the world leader who will promise peace and security. Bible has predicted this and that leader will be the Antichrist.

Now the race is on among the leaders of the powerful nations for that ‘super leader’ position. The most wicked among them are making their moves strategically bullying other nations that are weak. They want to grab the resources available everywhere to use it for their convenience. Putin has put in all his efforts to regain the status of the erstwhile USSR. Same story is happening in the Middle East, where Iran and Turkey are vying for their supremacy and a revival of the ancient Persian and Ottoman Empires. They hate to see the nation of Israel flourishing and want to wipe it off the map itself. Eventually all these nations will gather against Israel to plunder and loot it’s resources, the natural gas reserves in particular. This is the war described in Ezekiel 38, 39.

The prophecy about the destruction of Damascus described in Isaiah 17 also should happen very soon. As I say this Russian invasion into Ukraine has already begun. But as the Bible says these are all birth pain. The actual terror is yet to come.

But thank God, before the Antichrist appears, He will transport us from here into His presence. Are you going to go with Him, or, will you be left behind to experience the greatest suffering mankind has ever gone through?!
